Through 24 years of floral design, Hilary has developed a deep-rooted love for flowers. She started her floral journey in New England then fell hard for the abundance of the Pacific Northwest. She opened Emerald Petals in the spring of 2010 on North Mississippi Ave., where it thrived as a retail boutique. Currently she is taking a break from storefront retail to focus on custom requests and on creating floral magic for you.

Emerald Petals is a full service flower studio committed to sustainable practices.We offer fresh custom arrangements for everyday life, special deliveries, weddings and events. With a focus on local, sustainable, and domestic flowers and botanicals.
Emerald Petals is Portland's eco florist.
We truly care about the environment and what effect our footprint will have on it. We source our flowers daily from local farmers.
During the off season, we also use domestic, sustainably grown product, and fair trade certified, if we must import from elsewhere. We never use floral foam!

Of course! You can let us know your preferred flowers or color palette. While some blooms may be seasonal or limited, we’ll do our best to create an arrangement that reflects your vision.
What happens if the recipient isn’t home?
If the recipient isn’t available, our driver will either leave the flowers in a safe spot or, if needed, arrange a re-delivery at a later time.
How do I make my flowers last longer?
Replenish with fresh water, trim the stems if possible every few days, and keep the arrangement in a cool spot away from direct sunlight to extend their life.
Do you deliver flowers to hospitals, offices, or event venues in Portland?
Yes, we deliver to homes, hospitals, businesses, and venues across Portland. Please provide the full address and any delivery notes during checkout.
